This current work is using crude materials; hessian & mud casts to look at youth identity in an organic environment. As an artist, I consider myself principally a sculptor, but I also work with other mediums such as printing, photography, drawing and painting. My work incorporates the physiological aspects of the human figure in either representational or fragmented form. Using sculpture as my medium, I try to capture the transience of childhood and youth. My intentions are to look at childhood issues surrounding emotional nuances and physical awkwardness.
